#76 Christine Cavanaugh Was Half Of Our Favorite Characters.

OK, so maybe half is an exaggeration but she honestly did perform a number of different characters voices. Chuckie Finster (Rugrats), Gosalyn Mallard (Darkwing Duck), Bunnie Rabbot (Sonic The Hedgehog), Oblina (Aaahh! Real Monsters), Babe (Babe), AND Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory). That’s pretty effin’ remarkable being that all of those characters are fairly well remembered. In fact Dexter and Chuckie are two of the most popular cartoon characters of that entire decade. Hell, we’ve probably heard this woman’s voice more than our own mother’s growing up.

  7. Jim Cummings is the other half!

  8. She was also Ug’s girlfriend Mona the mail lady on Salute Your Shorts.

  10. “we’ve probably heard this woman’s voice more than our own mother’s growing up.”

With the amount of television I watched, I wouldn’t be surprised. 🙂

  11. She was also that amazing woman on The X-Files who seriously believed Luke Skywalker stooped down from the Millenium Falcon to sire her child. Can we please take a moment to appreciate that? Sure made Scully’s day back in season 4.

  12. The other half was played by Pamela Adlon (currently playing Marcy “cockie smurf” runkle on californication:” spinelli, dean from rugrats, pepperanne’s bff, bobby hill… and many, many more..

  13. I think we’re forgetting that Jim Cummings was the other half…

  14. Even as a child I could always tell when a character was voiced by Christine Cavanaugh (although I obviously didn’t know her name at the time). She has one of the most recognizable voices to me.

  15. I LOVE Christine Cavanaugh! She voiced some of the most awesome characters!

  16. I demand she and Jim Cummings get their own two-actor cartoon series!
